800x600 native resolution projectors cost $800 to $1,400 less than 1024x768 native resolution projectors. They make nice low prices to advertise, and every catalog and advertisement you open will feature the price of an 800 x 600 projector.
In reality, 95% of the projectors we sell are in the 1024x768 native resolution category. There is a reason 95% of our customers choose to pay the additional cost.

For some uses, especially computer software training and educational use, 800x600 best suits the purpose. It is always prudent to compare both.

Some manufacturers are still making or are just stuck with older models, in 600 to 800 ANSI lumens of brightness models, which are about as bright as a flashlight when compared to today's projectors. No one benefits from a projector under 800 ANSI lumens for SMALL groups, 1,000 ANSI lumens for everyday use. Brighter is better, and brighter drives our perception of contrast in the picture.
