Microsoft Access is one of the greatest values available to an organization of any size, for collecting and analyzing data to arrive at useful informaion that provides value to your business.

DeVore can assist your organization “À la carte” with any training or project assistance need.  Choose as little or as much as you would like, from public classes to individual instructon to help with difficult parts of a project, to turnkey delivered Access solutions.

Would you benefit with assistance in gathering requirements?  Validation of the data model prior to investing in the actual development?  Upgrading a prior version with custom code?  All these options and more are available.

Have an Access database developed by someone who is no longer with the organization and are not sure what the problem is?  DeVore can help.

Are you about to upgrade to Office 2013 or 2016? Microsoft Access 2010, 2013 and 2016 incorporate some differences in the object model from prior versions, to enhance functionality, security and stability. Access databases from prior versions, especially Access 2000 and Access 97 will require manual conversion. Most organizations will first collect an inventory of databases developed in prior versions to understand the potential magnitude of the issue, then will prioritize which are most important to convert first. Databases in daily use have the additional issue of dealing with data entered during the time required for conversion, or workflow impact if the database is unavailable

On occasion, the actual conversion and data update will need to occur after closing hours or over the weekend.

Public Class Schedule Access 2010 & 2013 Training Classes

Access training class options include a two day Introduction, followed by a one day Intermediate, and a one day Advanced.  Two days are needed to properly ground the individual in the wide range of knowledge needed for beginning use to avoid as many mistakes as possible at the time of initial use.

One note for the Advanced training is that while simple Macros for automation will be demonstrated, utilizing Visual Basic for Applications code requires dedicated time to properly cover the topic that is not available in the Advanced class.  Visual Basic for Applications in Access is offered as a separate one-day class, that works in depth with the concepts and code for programatically automating actions in Access.
