Microsoft Course 10777 Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 – in Cleveland, Ohio
Located in Beachwood off I-271, DeVore serves the Northeast Ohio Area, including Akron – Canton, Warren – Youngstown and Erie, Pa.
This course is the foundation for creating Data Warehouses utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, most commonly for reporting purposes, using the SSIS tool (SQL Server Integration Services) to load data into the warehouse, the DQS tool (Data
Quality Services, and the MDS tool (Master Data Services) to achieve data quality and consistency to optimize the accuracy of reports derived from the data.
This course provides comprehensive coverage of SQL Server Integration Services and the ETL Process (Extract, Transform, Load), and is commonly used as a starting point for formulating a custom course specifically on using SSIS.
This course will also provide an overview of the Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, and the newer “self-service BI” tools such as PowerPivot.
While more hands-on training time translates directly to better results, if the individuals are using only SQL Server 2008 or earlier in their project, with no plans to upgrade, 3-day classes are also available, Microsoft Course 6234, Implementing and Maintaining Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Analysis Services, and Microsoft Course 6235, Implementing and Maintaining Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Integration Services.
You will frequently see DeVore’s perspective — Databases are NOT a good choice for Trial-and-Error learning. The cost of training is inconsequential compared to the potential cost of errors.
This course assumes some hands-on experience with data and Microsoft SQL Server.
