Best in I.T. Services Award and
Proud of all the other finalists and winners!

Last evening the NEOSA 2010 Awards were held at Corporate College and the event was absolutely amazing! Northeast Ohio is home to thousands of tech companies; businesses doing cutting edge creative work and adding to the growth and vitality of the region. DeVore enjoys supporting our local community by being a part of the great energy Cleveland has to offer and to work with companies such as NEOSA and COSE who play an integral role in businesses in Northeast Ohio.

DeVore and our team are very grateful and would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at NEOSA, and a special thank you to Brad Nellis at NEOSA, COSE and to the judges for recognizing the 2010 NEOSA Best of Tech Awards. Gabriel Torok, President and CEO, Preemptive Solutions as well as Chairman for NEOSA stated, "This year's class of finalists and winners represent truly unique and inspirational businesses. We're excited to recognize fine companies and impressive products; we're certain that these companies will achieve great success in the technology industry. Determining finalists and winners from the many outstanding nominations we received was difficult. The breadth and quality of nominations is a testament to the creativity and diversity of the tech industry in this region. All of our nominees, finalists and winners should be proud of their accomplishments".

There were seven (7) Categories for this event: Internship Program, Tech Innovation, Emerging Company, IT Services Company, Social Networking Application, Mobile Application and Software Product. See below for winners and finalist. Along with this evening event NEOSA and COSE recognized the COOLTECH CHALLENGE '10 - a contest to spark an interest in technology among high school students in the region. Winning Teams were Firestone High School, Copley High School and Grand River Academy and on the NEOSA website they announce the students who were awarded more than $8,000 in scholarships and prizes.

NEOSA is an organization comprised of more than 800 companies from all facets of the Information Technologies field. The mission of NEOSA is to foster an environment "that enables the growth and development of the area’s (Northeast Ohio's) information technology-based organizations to complete in a global market." Each year NEOSA honors not only outstanding companies but also impressive tech entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio with a series called the “Best of Tech Awards. It is NEOSA's goal to promote Northeast Ohio as a remarkable place to work and live by awarding exceptional companies and leaders with this honor.

Lori DeVore would like to personally thank the members of the DeVore Technologies Team, as they are the ones who facilitate the provision of the service that led to the nomination of "Best in IT Services!" DeVore offering Certified MS Project 2007 Class on May 13 & 14

DeVore is the only learning center between New York and Chicago offering this course. The cost for this 2 day class is $780 and we would allow company discounts for groups of four or more students. Our Instructor is a Quailed Microsoft Certified Trainer with years of extensive Project Management training experience and DeVore is a Microsoft Gold Partner in Learning Solutions.

About this Course

This two-day course delivers the fundamental scheduling skills that you need to manage projects successfully with Microsoft Office Project 2007, and prepares you for the Managing Enterprise Projects using Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 course. Mastering the Microsoft Project scheduling engine is the key to enjoying your work with the software. This course shows you how to drive the tool through each stage of the project management life cycle and offers multiple best practices for using the software while defining, planning, executing, and closing a project. This course also teaches you how to use all of the new features included in the software. Framed around PMI’s project life cycle, the course content is methodology-agnostic and focuses on hands-on learning methods.

Audience Profile

Everyone who manages projects using Microsoft Office Project 2007 should take this course, whether in an enterprise or desktop-only environment. This course targets the needs of fulltime project managers, as well as those who function as project schedulers or project support technicians. For those who need to take and pass the Microsoft 70-632 certification exam, this course is vital!

At Course Completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the stages of the project management process.
  • Understand the Microsoft Project user interface.
  • Understand the Microsoft Project Data Model as it relates to Views, Tables, Filters, and Groups.
  • Define a new project.
  • Perform all required task planning and understand how to use task dependencies and task constraints properly.
  • Add resources to a project and assign resources to tasks.
  • Save a baseline for a project.
  • Enter task progress using three different methods of tracking progress.
  • Analyze project variance.
  • Create custom Views, Tables, Filters, and Groups.
  • Revise a project based on project variance.
  • Change a project based on change control methodologies and rebaseline the project using multiple methods.
  • Report on project progress by printing Views and Reports, and by using Visual Reports with Microsoft Office Excel and Visio.

DeVore has added over 25 new classes to our collection of desktop courses. Additional courses include the new Microsoft Office 2010 (Publisher, One Note, etc) and a new series on Social Media encompassing Social Media Boot Camp, Social Media Strategy for Businesses and everything in between!

Forty-five new Technical Courses were added to the existing list of course offerings. Technical Courses that were added include (but are not limited to) 9 new courses in SQL Server.

Each year NEOSA honors not only outstanding companies but also impressive tech entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio with a series of "Best of Tech Awards." It is NEOSA’s goal to promote Northeast Ohio as a remarkable place to work and live by awarding exceptional companies and leaders with this honor.

Lori DeVore Nominated for The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award

This award is the most celebrated business award for entrepreneurs in the world. Winners of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year are recognized globally. The Honorees are the most exceptional entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.

In 2009 nearly 250 men and women from across the United States were honored as Regional Award Winners. These winners all had three things in common; innovation, vision and hard work.

Says Ms. DeVore, "It is a great honor to be nominated for such a wonderful award. It is privilege to stand beside all of my peers who I know have received this honor after much hard work, dedication to their visions and drive to be on the cutting edge of innovation!"
